Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a program for people with chronic lung disease. Lung disease is the number 3 killer in America, responsible for one in seven deaths. Lung disease is a general term to encompass illnesses such as emphysema, chronic bronchitis, asthma, bronchiectasis, and interstitial lung disease.

The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program at Bingham Memorial Hospital is designed to provide comprehensive care to individuals with pulmonary disease. This course can last up to ten weeks, depending on the individual’s needs.

Educational sessions include:

• Breathing retraining

• Exercise sessions are designed to meet your specific needs and goals, while your medical status and progress is monitored and evaluated
• Proper nutrition
• Role of medications
