The Servant’s Heart Award – Third Quarter Recipients – 2020

As we strive to deepen the culture of loving care, we seek to recognize those who demonstrate a deep, natural compassion for others in words and deeds. Our quarterly Servant’s Heart Award honors team members who are recognized by their peers for delivering loving and compassionate care.

Congratulations to our Third Quarter Servant’s Heart Recipients for 2020!

Medical Practitioner

Bret Timmons, DO, Emergency Department

Nominated by Genesis Hensley, Certified Nurse Assistant

“I appreciate your kindness and always being caring toward others. Thank you for all you do! I just think he’s always so kind to staff even on the busiest of days. He’s always bringing in treats and always greeting us with a smile.”

Nursing Team Member

Shelbe Mecham, House Supervisor

Nominated by Doug Norman, Registered Nurse

“An elderly patient had a close relative who passed away and wanted to attend the funeral. Shelbe got it all going by asking Doug to set up a Zoom meeting, so the patient could participate in the funeral. The family was very impressed with the thoughtfulness, compassion, and willingness to go ‘above and beyond.’

Shelbe, thank you for having a Servant’s Heart through this kind action.”

Support Team Member

Julie Lopez, Admissions, PFC, and PFA Manager

Nominated by: Anonymous

“Julie Lopez always goes above and beyond! Keep rocking it! Thank you for being such an amazing mentor over the past 1.5 years. I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to work under you and learn so much during this short time. You have helped me grow as a young professional and understand the confusing world of health insurance and medical billing. Thanks for always being willing to answer questions and help me with whatever was needed. I will miss having a mentor like you to look up to.

“Thank you for working so hard to make sure we were affected as little as possible by the COVID-related payroll reductions! You were really strategic about it, and that extra time and care shows.

“Thank you so much Julie for taking a chance on me years ago and teaching me that there is always room for improvement. All my success and knowledge, I owe to you. Your comments on my mistakes and your compliments on my performance both motivate me to do better.”
